Our story recently captured in a print/online news article by the Detroit Free Press here. As the woman who owns and manages her own Detroit-based small business, it has been a journey of reflection as we are sometimes measured by our past but are not defined by it alone.
The Johnson Consulting Services mission to provide and deliver exceptional consulting services that produce positive results and exceeds expectations is aligned with the following:
MCL 380.1165 (Financial Education Programs)
As of January 2023, the Pell grant maximum is $6,895 while the average cost of college wavers from roughly $28,000 to over $30,000 and may fluctuate on whether or not the student is in-state or out-of-state; whether or not one attends a private or public college, or a two-year or four-year college or university; and a myriad of other factors. As such, families need to consider other sources of funding to help them bridge the gap between the actual “cost of attendance” (COA) and what the family will actually pay out-of-pocket.
A common misnomer, the expected family contribution (EFC), is generally NOT what the family will pay out-of-pocket for college costs.
